Andy’s Community Café

Café culture is a great part of the British high street. In the heart of Goldsworth Park in Surry, a church café was struggling to keep up with it’s local competition (Costa) that’s only a couple of doors down. In competing against a big brand on a local level, something needed to be done to boost the cafés reputation. The brief was to take it away from the ‘small church café’ theme, and make it more of a contender for the go to place for people in the community to go to, to relax.

Creating a new brand and renaming the café “Andy’s” resulted in an increased positive perception of the place and as a result daily takings have increased with customer visits also increasing. Changes also inspired local news to cover the changes resulting in further publicity for the café.
