Radius Magazine

One of the first branding and print based projects completed whilst at UCA Farnham, my brief was to travel to London and attempt to find a subject from which a magazine could be launched from. The main aim of the project was a creative task into embracing the unexpected. Given the area had such a surprisingly vibrant array of shops and landmarks nearby I decided to create a magazine that celebrated a specific 0.5 mile radius of Waterloo.

Expanding from these ideas of vibrance and the radius of the area itself, a bright circular theme emerged for the magazine, producing a bold brand aesthetic. For me this project provided an early establishment in brand power, as establishing a magazine with an adaptable circular theme means that the brand could be applied to anywhere in the world with the potential of providing a form of democratised design, whilst providing insight into the unknown.
